I started off watcing the Royal Wedding broadcast on chan.
nine an Australian broadcasting station.
With the commentary team there was Dame Edna Everidge
who I thought was quite good. One of the commentators
said " look theres Dodi El Fayed" Diana's boyfriend. Dame
Edna said "Hes dead you know" And there was all sorts of
embarrassed comments. Then a silly woman brought up
the subject of the Union Jack on the Oz flag being removed.
Not the right time or place for that comment.
Dame Edna said "I believe your background is Greek isnt it?"
That shut her up, then I switched to a British commentary.

Your Aussie commentary sounded more fun, and good old Barry for sorting out the Greek lady. :D

Always remember the Queens Birth day a wee bit back - in Buck House and as the Queen appeared out came Edna with the comment "ah here comes the Birthday Girl" who else but an irreverent Aussie could have got away with it? Brought the house down so to speak!!
