No Dougie you are wrong, she is not my wife, or ever was. I'll be around tomorrow.

The next year after my stay on the Finisterre I was posted out to Terror minesweepers spare
crew. Also serving in the area was my cousin from New Zealand serving on the Pukaki.
He was very good company and so were his mates. All ways loads of guitars and singing of
Maori music. A real good time when in their company. Any way one Sunday they said they
were on their way to RAF Seletar as the RNZAF contingent were putting on a barbecue there.
So we made our way there and were mingling around the swimming pool area having drinks
when a female Scotch brogue said "Hello Harry", and there was my old girlfriend smiling at me.
It turned out she had married an airman and was in married quarters. We had some polite
conversation and I left it at that. By the way I thought I was in love with a girl from Lisbon ,
who I was corresponding with. But that turned out a failure, as I went back to Lisbon a couple
of years later and found her living with a Portuguese guy.
Anyway the lady I married was also a nurse like the Scots. one the daughter of a South Shields
harbour pilot. Sorry Mick nothing to get your teeth into there.
:P

What a disappointment "HARRY", they could have made that into a film for a recruitment drive.you could be living in Hollywood :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: Still as near to the distillery as you are I suppose that makes up for it, but what a tear jerker that would have been
dougie
