You and Seatime? Never the twain shall meet so to speak. But will the sea be rough at this time of year? Portsmiff to Fishbourne IOW) is not actually going to sea matey, or be 'e going via the Yarmouth Route (thats Lymington to Yarmouth (No you muppet NOT Great Yarmouth, that's somewhere else). Mind you I doubt if you'd go that way tis a bit of a roundabout route, especially on the Island. Most of the water on the Portsmough route tends to be very shallow - we had a standard rule that if anything went wrong to head for the sides of the channel where the water at normal tides would only come up to the top deck even if you were aground! So if it gets a little choppy it won't come to much - it can be interesting on the cats but you won't be using them now will you - people carriers only, no cars on them.

Ah the long run! More sheltered of course, more like a river cruise than a sea voyage!

I presume the proper sailor got on an earlier boat so they had to have you instead!
